What students say about astronomy-and-space-science

The best aspects of the University of Southampton is the great opportunities, e.g. societies and guest talks. I love going sailing on the Solent every other week and frequently running around the beautiful common. Similarly, new guest come to talk about their roles and how to get into their roles which is very beneficial for career development. There are no bad aspects that I have experienced so far.

All staff in university is eager to help you with any kind of questions or problems. At lectures teachers are really engaging and supportive. You never notice how quick time flies during lectures. Especially, before any assignments you are given every detail about it, so you are well prepared and not scared at all. The careers team is amazing at posting job listings. They are so proactive in getting you the right support and I love that about them. And I think the structure of some teaching material could be improved with bringing the right balance of AI into studies

UCL (University College London)

Best is the people and the quality of the education, worst has to deal with who runs UCL, administration has quite a few dirtbags. Facilitates aren't the greatest. I prefer more of a traditional campus feel and prefer KCL and LSE campus. Still considering coming back to UCL to apply for a LLM, alongside the other London unis, and maybe throw my shot at oxbridge.

What students say about astronomy-and-space-science

The best aspect for me is the location. I love being so close to Brighton and Stanmer park. There have been times where I have felt I could use with more support/ input from lecturers or tutors this term and I have felt very overwhelmed and burnt out adjusting to the new style of learning. Maybe for the first term students could receive more guidance if they feel necessary?
