As an international student, I struggled to find a teaching course that would allow me to study online while working a full time job. The University of Buckingham has afforded me the opportunity to study a high quality and in depth course while working full time. Their kindness and support during this process has been outstanding and has made all the difference for me. I cannot recommend them enough.

Campus life is engaging and fun if you're active; lots of choices of sports and social clubs. 3sixty club in campus is also one of best student clubbing experience I've had in the UK. Library is chic and comfortable with sufficient study spaces and books / online resource. Course content is interesting and inspiring but coursework is indeed demanding (if you are a good and hardworking student). Tutoring hours is not quite enough and most of the time you are expected to guide yourself through module content and problem solving. Disabilities support is available and of easy access but they could be reluctant to provided further assistance to students suffering from severe conditions or sudden accidents, and this could impact your studies to a large degree. However, if you are a healthy student with normal social life, it is not that difficult to graduate with a 2:1 or 1st with a bit of hard work whilst enjoying uni life.

I’m a mature student doing the BMus Music part-time at Goldsmiths. I’ve just come to the end of the full-time first year (which has taken me two years). Headline is I’d really recommend this course – it was definitely a good decision to apply. Over the first year I’ve done 5 year-long modules and coming to the end I reckon they have given me a really solid foundation as a musician in terms of my ability to play, write, analyse and think about music.

I believe creating a more inclusive social environment for both home and international students is essential. Providing a space where they can come together to share their life experiences fosters a better understanding of one another. This not only contributes to psychological well-being, especially for those who may feel isolated, but it also enhances English language proficiency for some students. Great buildings and location with great transport links to major cities. Being taught by people who are the best in that field and being able to contribute to their research at an early time in your studies. The tutorial system with very few people in classes making learning much more interactive.

I am thoroughly enjoying studying at Portsmouth University, although i have struggled throughout my time here with mental health problems all the staff in every department have been amazing and without their incredible support im not sure i would have reached my third year and be looking at graduating! i cant praise them higher, it is an incredible university that treats every student the same no matter who they are, where they are from or any disabilities they may have.
