Applied Geology postgraduate degrees in South West England

The best part of my university experience has been developing independence and critical thinking, especially through fieldwork and research-based assignments. Being able to apply theory to real-world environmental and geographical issues, work with data, and grow in confidence academically has been extremely rewarding. Also, networking and building a family and good relationships whilst studying. The most challenging part has been the pressure of deadlines and the lack of clarity or consistency in guidance for some assessments, which at times made managing workload and expectations stressful. Sometimes having the fear of asking for assistance due to the fact of feeling like I’m lagging behind everyone else.

I love how the comfortable the library is and I like how close we are to the beach. Sometimes it is difficult to book a meeting with the careers library and the library is nearly almost busy, which makes it quite difficult to find a space to study.
