Its my home town so it meant I didn't have to move away from my family, its also one of the few university's that offered both film production and screenwriting, they also gave me a lower offer to pursue film study and screenwriting which was very kind of them - even after I wrote about how bad the Percy Jackson films were in my admissions essay. The professors are incredibly nice and easy to talk to in and out of class. However, I feel like the society's aren't easy to find out, I have seen posts for society's that are no longer active. Also, if you're not living on campus I find its hard to make friends outside of your classes as the society's I am interested in run until 9pm at which point there is no public transport for me to get home with (I'm a student, sue me for not wanting to get a taxi once a week.)

I personally don't have that much contact with my tutor as he's also my screenwriting professor so I don't use that facility often. Contacting the professors I have found easy, only downside is sometimes emails will not been read until late but life gets in the way for everyone. Renting out filmmaking equipment has been incredibly helpful and has given me a good feel for what it would be like to use them in a professional setting. I havent had any information on work placements or internments nor any career prospects as it seems nursing and more popular courses are focused on, which I understand.
