The location of the campus is great, as you get city life alongside massive hills and greenery. The big cities and the highlands aren't too far away, so it's a great place to be able to explore from. It's so easy to get lost (safely). I went for a walk one day and came back 9 hours later, that was an eventful day. The way that the course is structured is really flexible and allows you to cover a wide range of topics, which really helps to narrow down the things that you really want to do. All the lecturers are nice and most are helpful when it comes to questions that you may have over the content. Its also good because the uni attracts people from all across the globe, so you get to meet people from all over and understand their countries and cultures. I think I just need to find someone from Oceania and Antartica and then its the full set. But there has been issues with the price of accomodation. I've stayed in uni accomodation so far at uni, because the bills are included and its slightly cheaper than private. But even so its obscene the amount that they charge for it. Last year my student loan didn't cover it at all, I had to find an extra £2,500. Luckily this year I'm staying in cheaper accomodation. But next to nothing works. Our fridge and freezer randomly turn off at times so all our food goes off. Our oven has a really dodgy door and no numbers or symbols on it to tell you what temperature you're cooking at. Overall there's more problems then things that work especially radiators. We've reported these issues multiple times to the accomodation staff, who either reply with things like "just do 2 shops a week" because we've all obviously got that kind of money to burn or they ignore us. They came and fixed something that no-one had reported, which was a slightly broken shower curtain, but nothing that we've actually reported. Other than that, there has also been issues with the strikes. At the start of this semester we missed around 3 weeks in 2 modules, which we needed to have covered to be able to do our assignments. The lecturers then complained that we should know what we're doing and have done all the reading. But if we hadn't had any lectures at all how would we know a) what we were meant to be doing and b) what relevance it has to the course

This year we have been interrupted by strikes so have missed a few weeks worth of lectures. Other than that we have largely had in-class lectures for psychology where we cover the asynchronous content that is published each week. It has been good that we've had 2 lecture so we've been able to cover the content equally. Additionally, there's been sporadic seminars to do with reading a journal article and critiquing it. This has sort of been helpful but the maximum amount of people we had go to our sessions was 2, so they felt really pointless and definitively not as beneficial as they could have been. I think that it would have been better to have more contact time with each other in the course and the lecturers to go through content. Maybe one every couple of weeks would have been good, which would probably also help with engagement

Last year I stay in halls and it was stupidly expensive £170 odd for a week, safe to say my loan did not cover that at all. Most things worked well, but the lights seemed to collect loads of dead flies and the kitchen was full of them and we couldn't get rid of them all. I didn't really get along with my flatmates, we just shared a mutual tolerance most of the time. It also felt quite lonely. But did feel relatively safe, security-wise. This year I stay in uni accommodation too because its cheaper than the alternatives, £96 a week this year. I stay in a shed pretty much (scout hut sort of vibes). The people are much much nicer then last year. But the kitchen is really small and its a struggle if more than 2 people are trying to cook at once. Plus the oven, fridge and freezer doesn't work. We've reported them all but no-one has fixed them, instead told us that "we're not getting anything else". Once the rooms are decorated it's got much more of a homely feel compared to last year which felt like living in a hotel. There's only 2 washing machines between 120 people so it can be quite hard to try and find a time to use it. When I moved in my and another flat mate's radiator wasn't attached to the wall, and one other one sparks every time you turn it on. They've put the radiators on the wall, only after coming to do a different job completely. they we're very suprised when we said about the radiators. The sparking radiator hasn't been fixed
