The housing issues and cost of living make it very difficult to be a student in St Andrews if you're from a working class or lower middle class family.

A wide range of different practical skills taught, and lots of opportunities to discuss and contact lecturers outwith the subject matter.

Ridiculously expensive, and not a lot of choice in where you stay. halls also feel very class segregated

St Andrews is a beautiful town but its is so hard to get to - so if you don't mind a travelling day its perfect. Student life is small and energetic - a family feel. Courses are well respected, there is a lot of reading but it is definitely very rewarding! there are too many people attending the university for the study space it has. they are completing updates but these will not fix this problem.

I live my course. Its very heavy on the reading side. and is led by self-study but the lectures, tutors and teaching staff are incredibly helpful and are all leaders in their field.
