I enjoy the practicals we have, it’s interesting getting to know the different aspects of the course through the practicals

I wish the kitchen was bigger but apart from that all the other facilities are okay to use

Great uni in a great location, student life is good for those who enjoy going out/drinking etc, there are lots of bars and clubs in town and several bars on campus. However it does feel like there is less to do for those who aren't interested in drinking all of the time. It would be nice to see more activities that are enjoyable without a drink. Overall Reading is a lovely uni on a beautiful campus, there are lots of nice areas to walk around and lots of wildlife. The campus is safe and secure with lots of security around day and night. Overall its a lovely uni to be at.

Lots of teaching time and in a range of different ways, lectures, seminars, fieldwork etc. It makes a nice change to mainstream school and just being spoken at constantly. The lectures are always happy to help, with the majority offering in person drop in session and drop ins online, making them accessible to those commuting or with busier schedules. There are a range of 10 credit and 20 credit modules, all assessed in different ways to suit a variety of learning styles. Most are not 100% exam and offer a good mix of coursework, quizzes, essays, lab reports and take-home exam and written exam.

It got good public transport links, from buses all around Reading and surrounding areas to 25 minute trains into London. It is affordable to get around by bus and the train station offers lots of locations including direct trains to Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol and down into the south west, as well as direct trains into London Paddington station. There is a large shopping centre with plenty of job opportunities for retail/hospitality jobs as well as takeaways and delivery driver work surrounding campus. The area feels relatively safe during the day, little less so as night as with most places but perfectly fine in a group. There are buses that run 24 hrs so offer a safe way for people to travel back from nights out cost effectively.

The accommodation is in a great location and is overall nice accommodation with decent size kitchens. The rooms are nice and often warm. The bathrooms are wet room shower rooms which sometimes take a while to dry out but aren't much of an issue for only one person using them. The accommodation is in good location, in the middle of the other park accommodation blocks and just a few minutes from park bar, the amazon locker, park reception and park wash laundry facilities. Not far from the centre of campus and the gym so overall good location. Relatively quiet despite being near Park Bar, smaller accommodation block and very secure.
