I live right by my building for my lectures, which is amazing and spend alot of time there with friends with makes it so fun and enjoyable! I also love gunwarf and going out with my friends all the time! Its also near the clubs, so i know im safe if i go out at night! However, I have heard other having problems with the distance to some of the buildings, but apart from that, i thoroughly enjoy living here.

It seems a bit empty, before uni I was doing shows with my school, and theatre clubs, but now I don't really perform or have the opportunities, and its hard to audition for other things as i have to do the course and for things I'm now necessarily going to use or work as i need the money.

Bedroom was lovely, I have lovely room mates, HOWEVER the bathrooms are tiny, and as someone who isn't really skinny, I have to squeeze into the corner in order to get there, also the laundry is awful, multiple times I have to report mine and my boyfriends loads as completely sopping wet even though its ridiculously over priced and should be at least dry for the price, AND THEN we have to use the over price dryers more than once sometimes three times, just to get our clothes slightly damp/dry

My overall experience at the university of Portsmouth is good I like how they effectively communicate and make sure students are ok especially since the lockdown

I had just 3 weeks of learning physically last year before the lockdown but in those 3 weeks the Uni facilities were always kept clean and there are so keen on hygiene and very accessible in terms of the sweet soul with disabilities

As an international student my fear is never to get stranded in a foreign land or feel sad knowing I can’t always go home. Uni has a phone line in which when you feel sad or your mental health is a problem they let you call them they give time off school work we get advised to take breaks it’s really good

Whilst before the pandemic we had 12 hours of physical contact each week but now it’s been taught online. Though quite stressful and a little hard the lecturers are really trying they go an extra mile to make sure we understand on moodle we have a forum to ask questions on what we don’t understand and the lecturer explains which I find really helpful

The career and employability service is really top notch they make sure if you’re applying for jobs you get all the help you can really need, they have resume clinics where you can bring in your resume they read through and advice on how to get better
