Great experience so far. The good thing about my university is that it specialises in Banking and Finance meaning that the career prospect is high for employers seeking graduate in finance-related jobs and most of the graduates secure a job immediately after graduating.

Facilities

How good are your university's facilities?

Very good with lifts, receptionist, vending machines, water cooler, free wifi, free tea and coffee, clean and warm. we have a library and knowledgeable librarian, we have a computer room and printing facilities, female and male toilets on each floor. study room and quiet study area in the library. career support team. The classrooms have a projector, whiteboard and computerised tutor and student log in facilities.

Student support

How good is the support offered by the uni? Think both academic (tutors/feedback) and personal (counselling, etc).

Very good support and feedback from the tutors. They have very good pastoral support and was highly impressed when I needed the support.

Local life

Is your university in a good location in terms of distance to accommodation and local amenities?

Yes, my University is in the city of London accessible to all local amenities like Tesco, marks and spencers, TK Maxx, new look and more. there are a lot of cafes and pubs around the city. unfortunately, because it is situated right in the city where apartment living is at a premium, it is not close to accommodation for most student, so there is commuting to get to my University.

Lecturers and teaching quality

What do you like most and least about the way your course(s) are taught?

I love the fact that we are taught in small groups and that the lecturers are knowledgeable in their subjects. I do not like the fact that the lectures start at 9 am and then wait around for 4 hours to start another lectures. especially for commuters from outside London.

How does your uni make efforts to increase your employability (careers department, work placements, transferable skills)?

They have a career team that helps with our Cv and how it looks, there is an opportunity for one to one with the Head of the career and about what job to apply for and when to apply. Also, the career team helps us to prepare for an interview when we have one. There is a weekly bulletin for job vacancies and graduate scheme and also networking and events that can introduce us to the world of finance managers.
