The best and worst aspects of my uni experience were two sides of the same coin: independence. The best part was the freedom. For the first time, I was in charge of my own schedule, my own meals, and my own decisions. It was exhilarating to choose classes that genuinely interested me, to explore new hobbies, and to meet people from all walks of life. I felt like I was finally discovering who I was as an adult. But that independence also had a dark side. Without the structure of home and high school, it was easy to fall behind. I struggled with procrastination, and the late nights and poor diet caught up with me eventually. There were times when I felt overwhelmed and lost, like I was completely on my own. Looking back, I wouldn't trade the experience for anything. The challenges made me stronger and more resilient. I learned to manage my time, to ask for help when I needed it, and to prioritize my well-being. Uni was a rollercoaster, but it prepared me for the real world in a way that no other experience could have.

My course, while fascinating, was a real mixed bag. The best aspect was undoubtedly the intellectual stimulation. I was studying Trade and Growth and finally delving into the complex theories and cutting-edge research that had always captivated me was incredibly rewarding. Those moments when a concept clicked, or I could apply what I'd learned to a real-world problem, were pure intellectual joy. The professors were often experts in their fields, passionate and inspiring, and the discussions we had in seminars were truly mind-expanding. However, the worst part was the sheer workload. The volume of reading was immense, and the assignments were relentless. There were times when I felt completely overwhelmed, like I was drowning in information. The pressure to perform well, coupled with the constant feeling of being behind, took a toll on my mental health. Also, while the theoretical aspects were enthralling, the practical applications felt somewhat distant at times. I sometimes craved more hands-on experience and a clearer connection to potential career paths. It made me question whether all the hard work would ultimately be worth it. Despite the challenges, though, I wouldn't trade the knowledge and critical thinking skills I gained. It just would have been a smoother ride with a slightly lighter workload and more practical application.

I think that it is a really good university in the aspects of student life, however, the student union could be better, I never joined a student group or society as i didn't feel like any were really advertised to me during my time at Leeds Beckett, I wish more were so that I could have enjoyed my time as a student more.

Other than a few modules in my first year, the course has primarily been taught in person which I have enjoyed going into University to be taught instead of being sat on my laptop listening from home. I have enjoyed the overall course, such as being in the labs and being hands on in the different aspects of my studies.
