One of the things I really appreciate about BCU is how diverse the student body is. It’s great to meet and study alongside people from different cultures and backgrounds, which makes the experience richer and more interesting. The campus facilities are impressive, especially in areas like media, arts, and technology. BCU has really invested in modern equipment and buildings, which makes learning more hands-on and practical. I’ve found that the administration can sometimes be a bit slow or disorganised, especially around enrolment or exam times. It can be frustrating when processes take longer than expected. This was the case in both first and second year with timetables as we didn’t receive them until extremely late which caused issues with my job. While there are a variety of support services available, I feel that the mental health and career services could be a bit more responsive and accessible when you really need them.

I really appreciate the blended learning approach that BCU offers. It’s a mix of lectures and seminars along with independent learning which gives me the flexibility to manage my schedule, especially when things get busy. The online materials are usually well-organised, so it’s easy to keep track of everything. The lectures do seem short as it is usually stressful to write everything so fast. The course hours work well for me. There’s a good balance between lectures, seminars, and independent study, which gives me enough time to process the content and work on assignments. It doesn’t feel overwhelming, and the structure allows for plenty of time to absorb the material. While blended learning is convenient, sometimes I feel like there could be more in-person seminars. Certain topics would be easier to grasp with more face-to-face time, as discussions and hands-on activities tend to flow better in the classroom. Although the lecturers are supportive, I think the amount of contact time can vary depending on the module. Some lecturers are great at staying in touch and offering guidance, but others can be harder to reach, which makes it challenging when you need clarity on assignments or coursework.

Brilliant uni with dedicated knowledgeable staff. Sometimes difficult to work out who you need to contact but always someone willing to direct. Overall it’s a fantastic experience studying at bcu
