My university experience has been second to none, I really have enjoyed my time in Bangor and will definitely miss it when I leave. Bangor has given me lots of opportunities to better myself and also have a lot more freedom, it's truly great! You're missing out if you don't come.

The university has just about every facility you could really wish for!

The support given by the uni is first class, I never thought there would be so much help available to me! Any problem you may have, academic, personal or financial problems, the uni has you covered.

There is something for everyone, and I mean EVERYONE!

Bangor is a smaller city than most, it's a mixture of city/town which is a very good balance as there is a huge range of shops and opportunities

The learning, all of the information and science is truly fascinating, especially when you can relate it back to yourself personally! Lecturers are always friendly and happy to help, extremely intelligent people and very down to earth.

There is a massive emphasis on employability throughout the university, the BEA definitely helps and there is always someone at hand to guide you.

So far my university experience has been overwhelmingly positive. I have settled into to a new place over 300 miles away from home quicker than I ever thought I would and have felt part of my department since day one. They make the transition as easy as possible and are more than willing to support you if you do have trouble with something be it academic or personal. I thought moving to university was going to be hard and scary but it has been so much easier and so much more fun Han I ever thought it was going to be.

The facilities in my department are all really good and greatly benefit the needs of the course. The library and study areas are also great working environments.

The support at Bangor is really good - much better than I experienced and school and sixth form. You are allocated a personal tutor who you can email at any time with academic issues. You meet with them twice a semester and can book any extra meetings if you need to There is also a great support network within the university who can help you with any issue from mental health to dyslexia support. You are also given a peer guide when you arrive who is someone in you department who is in there first or second year. They are a really good port of call during freshers week and the first few weeks of term and really helpyou to settle into your department quickly.

The student union do ha e lots of clubs and society’s that are free to join. However there are never really any events outside of weekly things that you can take part in as a one off or casual basis

Bangor is a quiet city which doesn’t suit some but I love it. The nightlife is generally quieter but there are still some great places to go. Being so close to the sea and the countryside mean that you can travel to different places easily and have great days out

The clubs and societies that I take part in are all really good fun with great leadership, group work and of course socials. It is a great way to meet people not in your course and make some friends with similar interests. And they are all free to join which means that you can do as many as you like without breaking the bank.

The teachers are all really friendly and approachable and are there in certain hours if you need some extra support. Marks and feedback are returned quickly and are also really helpful. The lectures are mostly interesting and informative. The only downside is the lack of module choice in first year compared to years two and three

The rooms are nice and spacious and the communal areas very clean. The social aspect is great and noise is managed well without being too strict
