I really love studying at this university because the vibe and atmosphere is so friendly. I’ve made some great friends and the course is really engaging :)

My lecturers are extremely knowledgeable and I find the content engaging. I do however think the shared first year among biosciences means I don’t get to do as much specific zoology content as I’d like to

I love the convenience and size of them. The thing i like the least is a shared kitchen due to other people’s cleanliness

Very good staff and facilities, lots of help available if needed. Lots of societies and ways to make friends and opportunities to take part in. Could improve by maybe putting in more study spaces that aren't in the library for a change of scene, and trying to space out exams/ assignments a little more to be less overwhelming

I like most of the content, and the staff are all great, but I have found one of my modules in particular quite confusing (BIOS201, Genetics) as there is just so much content that has been packed in and is a bit hard to follow.

I loved how much greenery was around, and my room had a lovely deep windowsill that I could sit in to read/ work, a gym, a lounge area that you could book out for film nights etc with friends, and there were ducklings and goslings in the summer. It felt very safe and although the location was a bit further from campus, there was a very heavily discounted bus pass for a bus that went from right outside the accommodation to campus. In terms of improvement, I know that one of the lifts in my friend's building broke quite frequently, and once my blind broke and was quite slow to be fixed by the maintenance team due to a miscommunication I believe (so this would not have happened often). Also, they put in a lot of effort to do events such as 'Christmas markets' and free pizza which was very good, but queues got insane and they often ran out of supplies which was annoying after waiting for so long - so maybe count people joining the queue to stop new people from joining when they had reached capacity? Overall, I very much enjoyed being in Greenbank though, and do really miss it.
