Has been amazing! Really enjoyed living in Bristol and studying at the uni. There is lots to get involved in and the course is amazing. I am so happy that I have been a student here!

Good overall. Has a moderate sized gym but is horrifically overpriced. Has many cafes and study spaces.

Very good. We have a personal tutor and many of the senior staff are very friendly and are open to you having meetings with them to discuss personal and pastoral support.

Barely hear from the SU. It is miles away from the main campus, I’ve only actually been there twice in three years. The SU doesn’t keep us regularly updated and it doesn’t have anything to offer us.

Yes the main campus is only a short walk from the city centre and other amenities. It is along many bus routes and not too far from the train station.

Good there are lots of sports and societies to get involved in. Each of the courses also has many societies linked with it which is great! It’s nice to meet people who you otherwise wouldn’t have met.

I like that we are taught in a systems based way. I don’t like that we only cover things once and are expected to remember them forever!!

Lots of work placements done on our course, lots of guest speakers and ways to increase your employability are integrated into our course.

The vet school are very involved and really want the best for us. They regularly make changes based on our experiences and comments . The curriculum is constantly developing and the accreditations speak for themselves. Staff are friendly and so easy to speak to, never make you feel like you are asking a silly question or that you are unable to push them with your questions if you want to know even more. Bristol city is expensive relative to northern unis and is one of the most expensive outside London despite us getting minimal loan! But Bristol is the epitome of a student city, its vibrant, something for everyone and really does have a small town feel which if you are like me and hate big cities, is perfect!

The course allows generally for a lot of flexibility outside of compulsory practical learning eg animal handling and clinical skills. All lectures are live streamed and recorded so if you can’t make it then it’s absolutely fine. I definitely find you get the most out of attending as much as possible and really engaging but others don’t find in person lectures as helpful so watch online in their own time

Like everything in Bristol it’s expensive but it was definitely value for money in terms of it being nearly brand new, so many facilities including a gym and study rooms. Staff were always very friendly.
