The course is really interesting and well structured. It’s difficult to get to know people properly especially when put in accommodation with people who don’t leave their rooms.

The course is well structured and we have the opportunity to practice in the veterinary nursing clinical skills centre. More support would be beneficial before exams and having online revision sessions when students are at home.

The halls feel safe and do what they need to do. Could have a nicer feel as the breeze blocks feel a bit like a prison. Could have done a survey for what people are looking for in halls as no one leaves their rooms so it’s hard to get to know people.

I have really enjoyed my experience so far at Hartpury. There are so many opportunities to get involved. The best part about Hartpury is the extra things that Hartpury offer compared to other universities. Having the chance to get involved in the various clubs, societies and sports really does make Hartpury stand out. Having so many animals on campus is amazing when you are doing an animal course.

The best thing about Hartpury is the facilities, as there is just so much opportunity in ever corner. I have volunteered at the farm, equine therapy, and canine hydrotherapy. The campus gives us the opportunities and experience that we need for our course and for extra curriculum. I also go to the gym, which you have to book online. Cleanliness of the campus is good. The cleaner for our block comes in ever few days to hoover, mop and wipe down the sides in our kitchen. The rest of the campus is clean, most of the time you will see the gardeners or some type of maintenance going on somewhere around campus. To get the books out of the library it is fairly easy, and the staff are very helpful if you can't find a book you have been looking for.

The student support is good. There is always someone there for you whatever the problem may be. I have contacted the wellbeing group before and have had one to one sessions which really helped.

My course is mixed delivery so it is both online and face-to-face. We have about 15 hours of lectures per week, which includes one practical in the labs. The practical include a heart, horse leg and pig limb. Having a tutor is very helpful, as if I have any questions I can contact them without hesitating.

There are opportunities on campus for employment such as the equine therapy centre. Due to having so many opportunities to get involved in campus, the work experience will make you stand out when looking for the job. There is high employment rates after completing your course.
