Facilities are good, support is excellent, the problem lies in the transport. Falmer Campus is in a pretty inconvenient place, as is Moulsecoomb campus, and the city campus is basically inaccessible. Being by the beach sounds great, but it just means yoy get all the bad wether, and as a student you'll probably never see the beach anyway.

The foundation year (what I'm doing) is apparently pretty similar to a maths a-level with a bit of physics in it. they start you off with the absolute basics, and work your way up. Unfortunately, its a bit of a mixed bag with the lecturers. some of them are absolutely fantastic, engaging, and very good teachers, others are the opposite, and seem like when in attendance, you learn nothing from them.

There isn't mutch to like about uni halls here. The Internet is blisteringly fast, but if using an ethernet cable you have to log in every time you use it, and if you dont, well it took me 2 weeks fo figure that out... The halls themselves aren't great. Silverfish in most of the rooms i've seen, extremely poor parking due to an unreasonable permit system that is confusing to everyone. Room space is ok, but nothing good. now, in terms of maintenance, we had no heating for a month once and all we were told it would be fixed "as soon as possible". I was wearing jackets for a week and having to make the 140 mile round trip back home to london for a shower every weekend. Genuinely appalling. The microwave has set on fire several times, the pipes have air in them and make a terrible noise that keeps you up at night, the flats below us have had flooding several times, the drains for the shower (when they do work) get clogged instantly, there's moisture behind all the windows, which also are super drafty (so much so that they make the blinds move when the windows are closed), the doors slam (even after adjusting the door closers) because the entire flat is like a vacum, so the second you open on door, it opens all the others, Just, genuinely appalling. This alone is enough to not make me want to live here, ontop of the terrible rent and noise that comes from shouting in the parking lot at 2 in the morning, followed by loud music coming from several cars with doors open, and engines revving for no reason in the middle of the night. The entire place smells like oil. Just don't live in halls, dont do it at all.

The student union and facilities are amazing and useful. Only thing to imorove would be to improve student support

Lecturers are very good and helpful in lesson. Need to improve email response times and record all lectures for commuting studenents internation students and if students are ill. Not a lot of support for work placements and internships for foundation year students.
