UEA is a good place to study because of the array of activities that are provided for students who want to explore different things and meet new people. The student union is very attentive to the wants and needs of students and actively changes things based on what students want. There's many things to do that aren't alocohol centred (if that's not your thing), however, it can be hard to find these things if you're not (good at) actively looking Norwich itself is a visually appealing city with a good amount of gems to discover. If you want somewhere that's not too big, but still has options (as well as having a lot of greenery), then this is the place for you to study!

The course i'm studying specifically is very good as i feel like i'm acquiring skills that will be invaluable to me in my future career and life in general. The uni has good facilities that help facilitate this as well as some good teachers that make learning relatively easy and even fun. However not all teachers have this quality which can make some modules less enjoyable/effective than others. Some teachers are very disorganised and it doesn't seem like they're getting the help to make their lessons and assignments accessible/well-structured for students.

The halls that i picked weren't quite on campus, but they were still a good walking distance from it and was in a safe area. The facilities in my building were nice as they were relatively new, and so even though it was expensive, it was quite good for the money i paid. Except for the fact that it wasn't on campus.

I’m really happy to be here. I’m thoroughly enjoying the course and living in Norwich. I also feel certain that my course will directly help me to move my career towards literary translation, and that’s the main reason I’m here. I’m glad I chose to come and study at UEA.

The library is brilliant, a lot of books are available online and I have never had a problem looking for hard copies in the library. I’ve never felt the university’s facilities were lacking in any way.

I haven’t needed much support outside of seminars but the lecturers have always been happy to clarify issues and answer questions in seminars.

They host a lot of events and keep us informed with a weekly newsletter.

Yes it is not far from the city and it is easy to get round on foot, by bike or by bus.

There is a wide range of societies and it had everything I was looking for.

I’m absolutely loving my course. I’ve already learnt so much and I am looking forward to getting deeper into the subject. I enjoy the seminar discussions. I also love that renowned literary translators come and hold seminars, and we have the privilege of meeting them. It’s fantastic that the MA is so closely linked to the BCLT.

It offers lots of workshops to develop skills and provides career advice. We get a weekly newsletter about job vacancies and are informed of career opportunities. There are a number of work placements open to people on my course.

Fantastic. It’s on a lovely residential street which feels very safe. It’s a 30-minute walk or 10-minute cycle to uni, and in the opposite direction it’s a 20-minute walk into Norwich centre. It’s also got lots of shops and pubs round the corner. I think I’m paying less than average for the rent, and the house is in good condition. I live with my landlord so any issues are resolved quickly.
