The uni is very central and easy to access. There are also great facilities, lecturers and support from the uni. However, my accommodation in Strathclyde halls in first year was not satisfactory or a high standard. There is no way to choose specific accommodation - it is randomly allocated based off the facilities you want (sink, ensuite etc). Despite being the same price, there are varying standards which is unfair.

Lecturers are good

I was not made aware that my halls were off campus before I arrived. I paid the same as two other halls yet mine was of much lower standard. There was constant black mould in the bathroom and my bedroom. The decor was dated. My room was dark and did not have a bedside table. The kitchen was good and the living space was a good size.

Variety of events and society’s to take part in. Often struggle to find seating in main buildings for lunch/studying.

Suitable modules and teachers always available to talk to.
