Newcastle is a very diverse and inclusive university, meaning that everyone has a sense of belonging. The old buildings are beautiful, really contributing to that university atmosphere. The main campus is right next to the Main Street in Newcastle, meaning shops and coffee shops are close by and convenient. There is a large population of students in Newcastle, meaning you are bound to make loads of new friends. This is supported by all of the nightlife! If you want to go to a smaller city uni, then Newcastle will be the one for you, as it has everything but isn’t too big and overwhelming. Despite this, you still get to walk a lot ! The libraries are also amazing and well stocked. They provide great study spaces!

The course is quite challenging, as there are so many different modules and subjects to cover. The IPA is definitely difficult to learn! However, it is also a really rewarding course, as you can literally see how you would be helping people in the future. We are also given brilliant opportunities, such as being able to conduct a child study with a real child and monitoring their development. We are also assessed in a number of different ways, meaning that everyone has a chance to do well, regardless of their strengths.
