My university experience at KCL has been amazing! I have recently graduated and would love to do it all over again (maybe not the exams tho)! I was part of the swimming and waterpolo society (shoutout) for the 3 years I was at KCL and I couldn't recommend joining a society enough! I have made so many lifelong friends and memories that I'll never forget.

Personal tutors respond quickly to emails and are very helpful if a problem arises. Quality of feedback from work varies between lectures but is definetly on the strong side and recieve feedback and results from work submitted a month after completion. KCL has counselling and CBT services which are free to use. You can self refer to counselling, individual CBT or group CBT to help with personal stressors (e.g. anxiety, depression) or stressors from university life (e.g. workload, managing exam pressure and stress).

The SU is very well organised and has a club at two different campus' which are always buzzing

There are plenty of shops around the different campus' and don't have to travel far for food, shops or entertainment

There are so many societies to chose from it's nearly too many!!

Lectures cover things in detail which is very interesting but sometimes it's in a bit too much detail (e.g. going into the biochemistry of how drugs work). Practical sessions are brilliant for learning how to assess and treat certain conditions and they're led by physiotherapists, mainly from Guys and St Thomas', who are experts in their fields. The lectures are all experts in their fields and practise alongside teaching so we get taught the most relevant and new information

Your personal tutor and course leaders assist you in discovering whc=ich career path you'd like to go down. Placements are really helpful in finding which areas interest you the most and you can stay in contact with physio's from these placements and ask them for advice later on.

Accomodation in London is on the expensive side but the benefits of living in central london and commuting to a uni in the centre massively make up for this cost.

As a mature student with family and a business to manage I occasionally feel the course and university does not look to support persons in my current position as much as they could.

On occasion we are notified the day prior of a lecture changing from online to in person. This has a huge effect on a commuter such as myself and means I miss out on the sessions sometimes. This coupled with lecture capture being unreliable at times effects studies.
