The quality of academic delivery is generally very high. Very engaged and enthusiastic academic staff. What lets it down is the disjointed approach to recording skills and behaviors - a core part of the apprenticeship. As a time poor executive, I seem to spend a lot of time on process issues relating how to submit evidence of skill acquisition. My programme does not have a staff/student liaison committee despite this being a requirement of the University's regulations. I have raised this with the School and they've confirmed that they don't plan to have one - seems a very blatant disregard for institutional policy.

Disconnect relating to the academic mentor role - it's not unusual for students to get 'bounced' between the academic mentor and the module leader for questions with there being no clear sense of 'who does what' regarding skills and behaviors relating to the apprenticeship standard.
