University of Huddersfield feels like a warm mug of hot chocolate on a cold and rainy evening. I was quite unsure about how the university life would treat me, but the people there made me feel right at home. What I like the most is that, it's much cheaper and more affordable compared to bigger cities. Rent and day-to-day costs don't feel overwhelming, which makes it easier to manage money as a student. The campus is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and being an ardent reader the library is the best place to wind down after a long day. On the other hand, Huddersfield itself is a small town. You hardly witness a crowd after 6 p.m., and some part of the town feels a bit run-down. The weather can also be a mood-killer for somebody who loves to bask in the sunlight. Overall, Huddersfield, I'd say is a great place if you want a balance of good teaching, friendly people and cheaper living costs. But if you're after a big city vibe with endless things to do, you might find it a bit tranquil.

The first time I heard about the course TESOL, was through one of my close friend's I've known from the college. Coming from a family of teachers' I was always quite indulgent to go into teaching field. I considered taking a teaching course from my home country, but it had it's own disadvantages like the course itself was 2 years long and it is conformed to teaching only in limited countries. However, TESOL on the other hand allows you to work in a lot of countries which in turn allows me to travel as well. The classes at the University of Huddersfield are well-structured and engaging. Lecturers are approachable, supportive, and genuinely passionate about their subjects, which makes learning feel more interactive. I really appreciate the mix of theory and practical work, and the way the modules are designed helps in applying what we learn to real-world situations. The course doesn't have much of a drawback but if I'd have to point out some, then the timetables can feel a bit packed, with classes scheduled close together, which doesn't leave much breathing room between sessions.
