Brighton is a great place to study and live. Situated on the outskirts of Brighton with accessible transport links into the city, beach and surrounding areas along with train links into London. The University is spacious and has excellent facilities to study and relax in. The curriculum centre is a valuable resource for the School of Education as well as a well-stocked library of books and plenty of study space. The course is well run with a fantastic team of lecturers who are available to support you not in your studies but also personally. Brighton offers you the best step towards your teaching career not only in terms of academic study but also teaching practice.

The course is full-time Monday to Friday, meaning sometimes you will be in sessions until late, however, the teaching and knowledge that you are given can not be faulted. Sessions are taught well and the learning and insight into your chosen career are invaluable. The tutors have all previously been or are teachers themselves along with academic professionals, and this can clearly be seen through the passion they have and the sessions they provide. They are knowledgeable and experienced and understand just how to train you to be the best teachers for the future. All tutors are available to offer help and support with your studies, but also personally via your PAT. The support and variety of subjects that the Education team offer is highly recognised by the students, which makes studying at Brighton an enjoyable experience.

The Eastbourne campus is a lot smaller- everyone knows each other so it's good if you want the same seaside vibes without the bustle of the main campus in Brighton. Getting around can be hard without a car, buses stop at 6/7 so you have to walk everywhere at night if you don't have a car. The sports facilities are all pretty good and easy to get to from accomodation (3 minute walk away). Not all sports clubs are based in Eastbourne so you would have to travel in to Brighton for some clubs but the main clubs (football, rugby, netball etc) have teams on this campus. The rooms in accommodation are all en suite with between 4-7 rooms per flat. Kitchens are a good size but if everyone wants to cook at the same time it can feel very cramped.

It is very full on with a mix of practical and theory work which can be very tiring. The course covers a range of topics to well prepare you for placements. There are placements in every year of study. Lecturers are all supportive and responsive to any questions/feedback . All teaching is in person (unless lecturers state otherwise due to unexpected circumstances)

The seaside location is great for unwinding after a long day . It's not as busy as other campuses (like the Brighton city campus) so it's much easier to relax. However as it is a quieter seaside town, it might not be right for people who enjoy bustling city areas

Rooms are quite basic but all en-suite. Most people have a single room but you can get a double room if you don't mind paying higher rent. The only indoor common area is the kitchen which is a decent size but not always ideal if you want a few people over
