Beautiful ancient university with lovely surroundings (beach, parks, botanic gardens etc.) and lovely independent cafes on campus. It is very supportive, understanding and has a real nurturing feel towards students. There are plenty of clubs and societies to get involved in, and I would say for the Aberdeen experience, you get out of it what you put in.

I would definitely appreciate more instrumental tuition time. But tutors are generally very helpful and are willing to go through any aspect of your course with them during office hours or by arranging another time to meet throughout the week.

Extremely helpful during covid lockdowns/isolations. We were brought free food parcels. Was also great to have an ensuite during covid times but also as you are only getting to know the people you are living with, it is nice to have your own space.

As an international student, I love the area that the University of Aberdeen is in and how easy it is to navigate. The different campuses are beautiful and there are buses everywhere which allows for easy transportation. It is also easy to walk places and sometimes I even prefer to walk just because of the beautiful scenery! The buildings have great hangout and study areas and the professors I've had are all amazing teachers. I would highly recommend this school to anyone but especially to international students!

All of my courses are in person but that is the way I prefer it! My professors were all very passionate about what they were teaching and I always enjoyed getting to listen to their lectures. Every professor was also very willing to help out any student and had office hours available to everyone.

My room was relatively nice (a single bedroom) and I really like all of my flatmates. The price feels a little expensive since it is 5 people living in a flat with only 2 bathrooms and 1 fridge but we've managed to make it work for us. It is also very close to the university which is nice and the student reception is a great hangout spot!
