Staying at campus means there’s a real sense of community and everything is ok their doorstep.

The lectures are long and irelovent

I am situated on the headingly campus which has a large range of bars and restaurants within a 10 minute walk away! The course is great and all the lectures and seminars are really helpful and educating. There is a lot of school based placement which you must consider when applying for this course. When your friends are out partying in the week that arnt on your course, you will have to stay in and go to sleep early as you will have to be at your placement at 8am every day. Don’t let this put you off though as this is a very rewarding course. If doing this course I would also recommend staying on campus at Carnegie village for your accommodation. This accommodation although a little more pricey is so close to everything you need. It is also very safe and secure.

My course at the moment is all in person apart from a few lectures a week that are recorded and uploaded online. The course is great and each primary school subject is taught by a specialist in that subject. The contact with my academic advisor isn’t a great deal however she was one of my seminar leaders so I saw her when I went to some of my seminars. Some of the subjects are taught better than others I found that English and maths were taught a lot better than some of the humanities and arts. I didn’t find I had a great deal of work load compared to my friends on other courses as this degree has no exams. However on placement there is a lot of work to be done.
