The best part of studying at brighton is the feeling of the city, it isn’t a big city but it has a feeling that I don’t think can be replicated. On my course, the staff are incredibly supportive, if you reach out they will use everything they can to try get you the help you need. Falmer campus is surrounded by hills and forest which makes it unique but it’s also really close to the city with good public transport. Only thing about brighton is it’s expensive, it’s not something the university can fix but they do help, so definitely ask what help is available if you’re struggling.

The course is taught very well, it’s obvious that a lot of the tutors really care, there’s a lot of assignments but i’ve found talking with friends, reading each others work really helps. Placement can be tricky as it is isolating, however once you make it to the end it’s value becomes very apparent, you learn things you could never learn at university but actually going into a primary school and being a member of staff.

All of the accommodations are pretty expensive, paddock was the cheapest I could find and if you meet the criteria you can get £1,750 taken off from the accommodation costs, it’s nothing special so I brought everything I owned to the room and that made it feel really nice.

location is good but some aspects could be organised better. course is very full on and would be nice to have more uni time amongst the placements during the year.
