Great place to study and everyone is supportive and keen to help when needed. Could improve by allowing cross subject facilities to be used to help with projects or placements.

More subject knowledgment days would be beneficial.

The lecturers go above and beyond for all students and really care about the education they provide. Even the little details on my course such as hand in dates for assignments being on a Sunday so that those working a job outside of the course can turn things in in time is really thoughtful. One aspect I dislike is room availability for more practical courses can sometimes be limited leaving us to have to remove some elements of our learning to suit the rooms we are allocated.

The amount of contact with lecturers could be improved as I’ve had a few group catch up sessions planned and then cancelled. there could be more of an openness to online attendance if there are unforeseen events such as weather disruption or travel issues. The course hours are fine.

The university has a vibrant mix of clubs and student organised communities. There is a variety of shops and they are all reasonably priced. Some areas feel unsafe during the evening or at night but his only applies to those living on campus which I do not anymore. outsourced accommodation for staffs uni can be very below standard which I’ve heard has been an ongoing problem however the university provided accommodation always meets a high standard of comfort, space and hygiene as there are staff who clean accommodations on campus which is great! the main campus is right across from the train station which makes more long distance travel a lot easier. main issues include rubbish piling up around non-university accommodation which sometimes means walking into the road to avoid bins which can be quite dangerous.
