My uni is great for food and drinks, there is a costa and Starbucks and hot food in two different areas. It is great for socialising especially when on a break in your university day. All tutors are so amazing and are more like friends to you when you build a relationship with them. The area is beautiful with many restaurants and cafes surrounding it. The facilities such as the gym and the gardens are amazing. What would make it better is to have an area where people can sit and socialise and eat, maybe a kettle and microwave in the area, in the student union building as that is where most people go yet you can only buy things. The library is amazing with loads of room and even separate rooms although it as well could do with a cafe sort of area that has longer hours. The library is basically unlimited and the people working in it are such great help especially when it comes to assignments. You will never be stuck for help and adivice at Hope.

My course was pretty new when I started it therefore we are very mixed with the 5-7 course. A lot of the time our course as it’s so small can be forgotten about. The classes are great they are very practical in order to prepare us for placements. The course hours are great considering it is a teaching course. Getting in contact with lecturers and tutors is so easy and they are all so supportive of everyone on the course. Placement is my favourite part of the course but it can be hard with distance and bus routes etc. Uni is so supportive with placement and are there to back you up if any problems or concerns occur.

It is great as you don’t have to worry about any bills as it is all included. Rooms with en suites I think are perfect as you heave everything right there. Having the shared kitchen was great for socialising. The common room weren’t really used when I was staying in halls as they closed at 11pm which I thought was too early especially if you are using it for say a night out, movie nights etc. it can be quite expensive but I do believe it is necessary to get the whole university experience and to meet new people especially for me as i have moved from Northern Ireland.

Good facilities and teaching lecturing staff. Very useful course with good details and support. A long bus journey away but this can’t be helped

The teaching staff are amazing with many guest speakers coming in to discuss educational studies with us. Contact time is good however the structure coukd be improved with a lecture informing us how to create a presentation only beginning a week prior to when it’s due in. This with a full week in school and having to work weekends inbetween is not ideal.
