I really enjoy attending uni here, but think there could be more accessible study spaces with computers, as I often find a free computer hard to find

Not enough tutor contact time, I pay a lot of money to do a masters for very little contact hours, which doesn't seem fair

My experience at Newcastle University has been extremely positive, especially studying MSc Sustainability Management at Newcastle University Business School. The course content is engaging and relevant, and the teaching staff are supportive and knowledgeable. The facilities are excellent, and I have always felt well supported by student services. I also love the location—being close to the city makes it easy to access everything Newcastle has to offer. The Students’ Union is fantastic too, with lots of societies and events that make student life enjoyable and social. If I had to suggest one improvement, it would be the amount of space in the NUBS building. During busy times, study and collaboration areas can become quite crowded. Adding more dedicated study spaces or breakout areas would really enhance the student experience, especially for postgraduate students who need quiet areas for group work and independent study. Overall, Newcastle University is a great place to study—friendly, well-resourced, and full of opportunities. With a bit more space in the Business School, it would be even better.

The best aspect of my MSc Sustainability Management course is the high-quality teaching and the supportive learning environment. The course content is engaging, well-structured, and highly relevant to real-world sustainability challenges. The lecturers are friendly, approachable, and genuinely supportive, making it easy to ask questions and engage in discussions. The subject facilities are excellent, and the blended learning approach (lectures, seminars and practical activities) helps to make the learning experience both enjoyable and effective. If I had to suggest an improvement, it would be the amount of tutor contact time. While the teaching is excellent, there are sometimes limited opportunities for one-to-one support outside of scheduled sessions. Increasing tutor availability or offering more drop-in sessions would help students receive more personalised guidance, particularly during busy assessment periods. Overall, I feel very supported by the faculty, and the course has been a highly positive experience. With slightly more tutor contact time, the learning experience would be even stronger and more tailored to individual student needs.
