I love it here! I cannot stress enough how amazing this university is. Great courses, great societies, great city, great friends! so many opportunities! For such a small university it has a very global outlook.

Facilities are massively expanding, so shortcomings are only temporary! Sorry example it would be great if they could expand facilities in the library due to lack of seating in exams, but generally I feel like I am definitely getting my money's worth

As well as support from the university each college has a welfare network and events put on for students through the week regarding welfare. I really admire how important welfare is to this university!

There could definitely be improvements in this area but I think this is because there are SO many societies to run! I know they are trying to improve this though. Campus bars however are excellent and the student shop and merchandise and brilliant and invest all profits back into the university.

I love the city, it's such a beautiful place to live and even though it's small there is ALWAYS something to do and there are so many amazing hidden places. It is such a remarkable historic city.

I am hugely engaged with societies and due to an abundance of funding students really are getting the most out of societies not only to meet people but to develop skills and further themselves outside of their degree. There are more societies per student at this university than any other in the country!

I really enjoy my course and really think that it's tailored to provide something for everyone's interests and is really specialised

As well as an excellent careers service at the university, a very high percentage of York students are either in employment or education after the first 6 months occasion graduating!

I personally got bad accommodation in my first year but that was in one of the older blocks that I know the university is trying to improve. I know they have nice accommodation everywhere!

As an mature international student, the university has provided me with tons of support and resources throughout my degree program
