The best part of living in Bath to study is the surrounding environment. It’s a beautiful city and there are a lot of nice places to wall. I also believe the societies available at the university are commendable and that there is something for everyone’s interests. The student union itself organises many interesting and fun events especially in comparison to other universities. The course I am studying is also very interesting and the support provided by faculty and my friends around me creates a very tight-knit community. I would mention that living in the city in first year means making the bus trip multiple times a day and there should be a greater discount for the fare card or changing the bus plan so access to a bus is not limited to every 12 minutes. I also think that for international students, events should be organised from the first week onwards that will allow students to properly acclimatise to their new surroundings. Finally, I would also mention that in terms of housing, more support should be provided earlier on in the year and not starting in December as Bath’s housing market can be quite stressful. The course itself is very interesting and seminars are well-structured to allow students to discuss any difficulties in their readings and any questions they might have. I would mention that some seminars are less collaborative and rather teacher-led and while this may be beneficial in some instances, I believe that there should be a balance. While most of my lectures are in person, one is not which I find difficult to cope with as I get distracted easily when it is digital. Thus, for next year, I hope this could be addressed. Nevertheless, the contact hours are perfect. Another thing to mention is that there could be more collaboration between second and first years to prepare first years for a step up in their course.

Green Park is an excellent location, right in the centre of town so access to Sainsbury’s and other amenities is optimal. It is also a very clean and modern building. I would mention that a vacuum cleaner should be provided in each flat so as to allow students to always have access to clean their environment. Other than that, I would suggest that there could be events organised by a student team from the first week onwards for the whole accommodation to get to know each other as I do understand that some people had issues in their own flats from the beginning. I would mention that Green Park, out of all student accomodations I have been in at Bath, is probably the most secure (24/7 security) and the most modern.

Lovely city to live in with plenty to do. Campus needs more modernising, especially on the parade, some buildings are looking very tired.

Relatable to everyday life, therefore understandable and interesting. Good quality resources and literature Not enough ways to be able to connect with lecturers.

Nice location, does what is required. Thin walls. unreliable busses near-by. Very much aging facilities. Frequent appliance failures.
