So many activities and student opportunities to get involved in extracurriculars. great people very supportive staff. good science centre amazing library. The university lacks proper dedication to certain degrees such as languages which it has been cutting, this has seriously undermined the education of many language students and prospective language students as it is the only university in the north east of scotland that offered certain language degrees. the campus is very safe, the city itself is safe and has a decent socialising scene so there are many opportunities to meet new people. some schools such as social sciences lack sufficient contact hours with some degrees such as politics having only two hours a week of compulsory in person class whereas the school of biological science often has students on campus all day every day. it's clear that the university has a partiality to certain schools but overall the teaching is of a high enough quality.

The professors are very passionate about their subject areas and very keen to help if you have any problems. however the contact hours for social science degrees is severely lacking. with ab huge emphasis on personal study it is easy to become disillusioned with the capacity of the university to actually teach the course to you rather than you teaching yourself

great support staff who provide activities and clearly care for the wellbeing of the students.
