Best aspects: Huge campus, incredible sport facilities, lots of study spaces and access to computers and technology. Great transport links. Lots of cafes and restaurants, everything you need is close by. The university is very supportive. Worst: nightlife is not that good and the student union could be improved. This could be done by more bars, clubs and third party social spaces for people to hang out. Travelling to other areas in the midlands is easy, but if you live outside of this area (except for London) it is difficult and expensive to travel to and from home. Gendered ration is unequal meaning there are a lot more men than women.

Best: In-person teaching, course hours are not extreme on either ends, providing a good balance of on campus learning hours in comparison to other courses. Contact with lecturers is rather easy and they provide not only academic support but some seem like they really want to help in all aspects of university life which is a positive. Worst: In first-year some teaching was done remotely, which I think negatively impacted my studies during this time and also my social life and ability to make friends on my course. I don't know my tutor that well as every year they kept changing.

David Collett was my first-year university hall. For my final year I decided to return to a hall that is regarded as the nicest on campus, however, if I was a fresher again, I would pick David Collett. This is because of the community that was created during my first year. I found it easy to make friends among my block, I would go to dinner with my friends, go to the common room together, leaving to go to the bathroom or chilling in the hall way. I would argue that "nicer" halls that are self-catered, have ensuite bathrooms are a lot more lonely. Especially when different flats are also locked off. David Collett allowed me to make a bunch of friends from all over different blocks, something that is difficult in the hall that I live in now. David Collet is the cheapest option, closest to the library and close to the bus-stop into town.

Fantastic student experience. Love the campus and the lboro family is real.
