York is a lovely city, lots to do and many pretty sites to see, espealilly when your parents come up to visit! York uni is pretty good too and has high quality teaching. My number 1 piece of advice would be to go to lectures! They are more useful nd you will learn way more by actually going to them … even if your hungover!!

I enjoy the course and it is a great bunch of people. The maths society is really good and they put on a wide variety of events which makes it easy to mix and meet new people. I found this very useful in my first year as I was very shy!
