Nice outdoor areas e.g. the lake Decent SU areas Good place to get work done

Lectures early in the morning didnt work well with many students- especially when we have assessed the impact if you are a night owl. Career planning is mixed, gradintel is not great, on site there are people to talk to but many dont want to do this. Mostly lecturers are kind and supportive

In my first year myself and other were stuck in a flat with a psycho late 40s man, who clearly had mental health issues and a past history of joining unis to have somewhere to live. We feared for our safety as did security yet he cpuld not be moved due to covid rules about terminating contracts. We had to move in the end and were not reinbursed at all for the inconvenience or university negligence

University of Essex has amazing student life and endless resources for students, from a massive library open 24 hours to tutoring and wellness support. Some of the facilities look a little dated, the uni could use a facelift

The courses are very hands on and interesting, with labs and discussions. It would be nice to have more online courses available

The Pastures are amazing, the only downfall is it would be nice if they were just a little closer to the main campus
