The university has improved the facilities especially within the library. They have better flow to get help, you dont have to wait for a long time just to speak to some about your enquiry. Good support system regarding writting workshops to help with assignment writting.

Good student support, lectures always encouraging students arrange appointmets to see them or send an email.

good range of clubs and societies to join.

The coursee overall is very good maybe having more of a practical experience so when applying knowledge gained will be easier especially when starting a new .

The accomodation definately needs improving. The halls I stayed in for my 1st year was not the best. I had to share a bathroom whilst the rest of my room mates had their own bathroom. There was a cockroach problem within the kitchen area, the microwave was very old. the bedroom was quite comfortable.

While studying sport and exercise science I get to use the amazing facilities over at the stone x stadium the home of sarecens rugby club. The facilities are fantastic and very up to date and professional. My lectures consist of half practical and half lecture which is great because you don’t have to sit and concentrate on a lecture for hours. The practical element allows me to take what I’ve learnt in my lecture and put it to use. I really enjoy uni life and not having final assessments at the end of the year makes it even better, being assessed on topics throughout I feel is a much better way of doing things. Although middlesex have the use of the rugby stadium I feel sport and sporting societies aren’t as big as they are at other universities that would be the one thing I would change I would try to increase the popularity of sport societies and get people involved in the social side of it as well. Overall my first year at university has been more than what I could have expected I have grown so much in confidence and I’m very much glad I made the decision to come to middlesex.

I think the practical element of this course is very useful. As sporting people I feel we need to put what we’ve learnt into practise as this solidified our learning. The lecturers are great and keep learning engaging and fun. There is a lot of self guided studying so maybe a few more resources for that would be helpful to make the most out of my degree. We are also being sent lots of opportunities things like conferences to attend if we would like to work within the football segment so they do help us with our future.

I like living in halls it’s a very sociable place to be. However it is expensive and depending on your student loan situation will depend if you feel it is expensive or not. But trying to find a house next year is even more expensive so maybe halls are actually good value for money.
