The campus is quite inaccessible if you have mobility problems and there is a lot of bias between subject areas in terms of support - e.g. science modules have lectures recorded and hybrid lectures but art modules have no online content so if you are ill you miss the lecture with no catch up. It’s good because it has a friendly atmosphere and a helpful SU which put on a range of events to make sure there’s something for everyone to do.

No online materials or recordings etc, only 7 contact hours a week meaning theres huge pressure for individual learning which is overwhelming. The content is varied so you always learn something new which is fun

Rooms are very small so it’s quite cramped to live in, but good amount of storage. Ensuite rooms but they’re charging more than last year and have stopped the bathroom cleaning so you have to buy all your own supplies and they didn’t tell us they wouldn’t be cleaning this year. Kitchen has a nice view and lots of cupboards but only 1 oven between 6 people which is a squeeze.

The University is very welcoming and accessible. Everything that you need is on campus which is particularly useful in first year. There are weekly club nights and socials making it easy to make friends too. The societies are great, there are so many options giving students opportunities to explore lots of different interests. The staff are so supportive and make a huge effort to ensure everyone reaches their full potential, especially in terms of summatives, they always make sure students have a full understanding of what they need to do and how they can reach their full potential. I have had a fantastic overall experience at UEA and can confidently say I would recommend this university to others.

I have been on 2 different courses during my time at UEA and both have been fantastic. The placement opportunities are fantastic and the university listens carefully to what students are looking for when assigning the placements. The staff support is great, on both courses I have always felt as though I have the support I need and the access I need to different facilities. The seminars are carefully planned out to help each student reach their full potential, and give each student the opportunity to ask any questions they may have.

I really enjoyed my time in university halls, I found that it was a fantastic opportunity to socialise and make friends. It also helps with housing opportunities in second year. Security is always around ensuring the safety of all of the students, day and night. The halls are super close to all of the university facilities making it extremely accessible for all students which is especially helpful in first year and very encouraging as it makes things easier to do and less scary. I found halls were really great as it was my first experience of independence but I never felt alone.
