I am proud to be a student at the University of Hertfordshire. This university has a history of 70 years of offering a wide range of career-ready courses. Herts University is one of the UK’s top 10. It is nested in a location that has retained its vibrancy and continues to be a ‘home away from Home’ for students from almost 150 nations. The beauty of the displayed flags and the lively atmosphere on the campus create warmth for students separated from their families. The university has received recognition for its commitment to ensuring students are supported throughout their courses. I am encouraged by the phrase ‘ powering potential- this is the institution’s intentionality to facilitate transforming the lives of students from all over the world. It was nice to learn that the school location is less than 30 minutes from London. There is holistic support for student as needed. It is a great learning environment, student friendly, convenient living accommodation option within close proximity to classroom. Safety of students is a priority- the safety team are in their posts 24/7, friendly and very helpful. I have all GOOD experience in the county that boldly displayed “ County of Opportunity “. It’s goal is a continuum and can be improved as it stays loyal to the goal of providing opportunity to the world.

The lecturers are always prepared, sensitive, and ready to support. Preparation for classes is available on the Canvas site. There is an opportunity to re-learn as the classroom lectures, tutorials, and seminars are recorded. The classes online are interactive, engaging, and informed. Every student is assigned to a personal tutor and tutorial opportunities. Contact hours and accessibility to course tutors are open ( of course, with an appointment). The teaching style is simple for every age to benefit from.

I love everything about the hall except for phone reception and internet service.

The worst aspects are the university buses. They are extremely unreliable and don’t run very often. They are also very expensive, as is the food on campus. The best things are the quality of education I am receiving and how useful this will be for my future career.

I have a couple of lecturers who aren’t very organised when it’ comes to letting the students know about assignments. But the course is really interesting and I love learning new things.
