When I was first deciding on universities and what courses I wanted to do, I wanted to have choice and flexibility. Previously thinking about moving to Scotland and trying my luck there, I stumbled upon Liverpool University and that's when I fell in love. The course was amazing, the lectures were insightful and the people have been unforgettable. I have made friendships that will last a lifetime. The accommodation spreads all over the city and you get a choice of self-catered/catered and ensuite or not. The university has an amazing student union and you can always get a student discount if you live either at Carnatic or Greenbank as well as improving their other accommodation all the time. During the time I was there, I felt at home and though I practically spent most of my time in the library (which offers great facilities as well as Starbucks coffee), I had a fantastic time. The city is great and friendlier than most places and it prides itself over that, plus the university itself is close to the city centre as well Liverpool Lime Street station which is very convenient.
