The best aspect about university life is stability. There's always a schedule to keep and deadlines to meet which is good for me as I like having a structure. It also gives you a way to participate in, maybe, 2-3 societies or clubs. This way you can meet new people, again, at set times with a schedule so there can be balance between having fun and experiencing university life whilst achieving the grades I am aiming for. The staff that have taught are good at teaching as they know what they are talking about and it shows through the way they teach but some staff cannot teach which does lead to stress and self teaching. It can be improved, however, by having student support more trained. This is specifically towards academic skills as they all have they own of explaining/teaching but it's almost like an experiment to see which tutors are helpful and if they are not, it ends up being a waste of time. This can be frustrating such as these appointments are limited and are somewhat difficult to come by.

The course is an in person course. This means there is contact with lectures. They also respond to student emails in a timely manner. One thing I would say is to make it clear how long it takes to respond to an email. For example, it is policy for teaching staff to respond within 2 working days but other departments such as well being or student finance, it is not clear what policies they follow. Fellow students whisper within in lectures which make it difficult to concentrate and focus.

The only complaint i have is the price of things, i find myself struggling to afford food when it comes towards the end of the year and the finance has ran out - i end up sacrificing meals to get by. A scheme where they offer cheaper meals would be great considering how expensive our tuition fees are. Apart from that everything is great, it is clean, staff are welcoming and the facilities are great and easily accessible.

Some modules are just not what i signed up for - for example one of our modules is literally learning how to read. it should be an optional module because it just feels pointless. Some lecturers read straight from the powerpoint and it can get boring
