Lots of great comfortable and welcoming uni areas to do your work and get out of the house. I love the area of it being in a city so everything you could need is near you, however has some huge parks and is only a 30 minute train to two beaches which is a lovely break from a city. Has a huge array of societies that really help you get out of your comfort zone and make friends with people you wouldn't normally. Most of my lecturers are very friendly and always happy to help. They do have a student support system called student connect which replied to me really promptly and helpfully which is nice, however I did not end up using the system for personal reasons, but my friend did (for mental health) and was only allowed 5 support sessions before having to apply to be seen again which I feel could be improved.

Lecturers can be hit and miss, some going above and beyond, super engaging and friendly, others sometimes don't seem comfortable lecturing and very occasionally a lecturer was reluctant to provide help. But overall they provide really good content that really helps with assessments. I get sent a lot of work placements from the Law and Politics school however they're not usually relevant to me or my interests. Most of my assessments have had tonnes off great support so I rarely feel lost when starting my work however I'd appreciate extra work to progress my writing to a more professional level.

Maintenance was usually great when it came to broken lights, bugs etc. It did however take them over a week to fix our broken kitchen tap which left us without cold water. Taly south is a great location surrounded by lots of other halls, abit further from town for a night out but so is everyone else around you. Also it's lovely and close to Bute park.
