Bangor’s a great place to study as well as gain an amazing uni experience. The best part about Bangor uni is the courses that are offered and the support you they give.

The course is great as you learn a wide range of skills and knowledge to apply to your future career and the placement give you the experience that will be a huge benefit to your career.

I liked that everything was included in the price which made student living very affordable and was a great way to get to know people at the start of university.

Due immediately north of Snowdonia national park and due immediately south-east of Anglesey Island is beautiful Bangor. Looming over the small town is the university campus which includes both historic and modern buildings, all with great view of the town centre below. Navigating campus is straightforward since the facilities are located close together as well as close to any of the accommodation options students can choose to live in. As for student support, I can speak from first-hand experience, staff have a good degree of empathy and patience and act promptly to resolve student issues. The courses the university offer are quite comprehensive, with many major and minor combinations allowing student to really make their experience as personable. Whilst a only small town, there is a nightlife scene, but should students really wish to enjoy leisure time in elsewhere, there is a good train line that operates late across the whole Wales north coast making notable cities, Liverpool and Manchester feel close by. I feel privileged to be studying at Bangor!

My course is taught in-class where I am able to interact with the lecturers, asking them questions on the fly, and this is encouraged too, so as to compliment class discussions. Lectures are held in auditoriums with high occupancy, whilst the opportunity to sit in more traditional classrooms come around during tutorials.
