In my honest opinion, I think that Keele University is by far one of the best Universities to study at. I’ve been to see many other universities before coming to Keele and none of them gave a friendly community feeling like Keele did. Also, everything is on campus such as shops, cafes, pharmacy and much more which saves so much time in travelling to get any essentials you might need and is helpful especially for those that stay on campus accommodation, It is super convenient to have everything you might need at your doorstep. The lecturers are always willing to give you a helping hand if you might need extra support or anything course/work related. Keele is just an amazing place to study at overall and there isn’t a single negative thing I can think of to even comment upon. If anyone is thinking of coming to Keele to study then I’d say take the leap of faith just like I did and you’ll see for yourself what an incredible place it is.

The best aspect about my course I’d say probably is that fact that the lecturers are always willing to help and are easy to approach which makes it easier when you need to reach out for support of any kind. The way that the content is taught is also really helpful as you’re assessed in so many different ways and not just based on assignments. And the content is worded easy to understand and get the grasp of as it can be difficult to transition from what ever you might’ve done previously to studying at university level.

Moving away from your home city/county or from what might feel familiar and safe to you can be a very daunting feeling as well as anxiety provoking. Because of this, I’d highly recommend as a first year to stay on-campus accommodation which has a whole range of different rooms and styles to suit your needs. It is also helpful that the rooms and kitchen areas are regularly cleaned by nice cleaners and makes things easier as it’s one less thing to stress about after a long hard days of studying. But with that being said, don’t forget to wash your dishes as that’s one thing the cleaners won’t be doing! And your flatmates will thank you for it. The accommodation pricing is great value for money as everything is at your doorstep including the laundry rooms and the campus is super safe with security always around. Highly recommend on-campus accommodation which over looks the mesmerising grounds of Keele.
