I began my MA at the University of Westminster many years after completing my undergraduate, and a lot had changed since I last was at university. I was really impressed with the support, training and materials there were available to help me update myself with academic skills, research and other things that had changed since I last studied. The Careers Consultation were at low really important for me, and the one-on-one appointments helped my update my CV and cover letter to meet the requirements of modern job hunting. I really enjoyed the course, and found it well structured and gave me a solid understanding of Urban and Regional planning to go and apply for jobs in the field. Regular guest lectures provided multiple opportunities to meet and connect with people working in the industry. At the Marylebone Campus it’s a shame there is not much outdoor space on campus to spend time between lectures, although the central location was convenient for getting to and from campus and there are nice parks not too far away. The field trip at the start of the first semester was a great way to get to know the other students and staff well, and a great experience. Overall I am really with the MA at the University of Westminster.

Classes were mainly held in person, unless there were transport strikes and they were moved online. Some of the modules involved site visits which were informative and helped to enhance the learning. Lecturers were easy to contact via email if you needed to, and there were often opportunities to catch up after class too if needed.
