I like it, good people but some support aspects can be daunting to get.

The University of Sheffield is a great place to study. I think the experience for students here is very welcoming and accomodating, and the city is very affordable, quite vibrant and friendly. There are a wide range of courses, the students union is exceptional and the facilities such as the libraries are very nice. I think the university does a good job of catering to the needs of different students, for example people of different faiths, LGBTQ and international students. I believe the University could create a less convuluted system of accessing support. I think some improvements have been made in this, but sometimes it is difficult to find relevant support on their website.

There are not too many contact hours, so it is manageable Lecturers are experts in their fielf and my course is small enough that we get to build a good connection with them. We also got to experience 2 free field trips, one to the Netherlands

The location is very peaceful and safe, the main disadvantage being that it is further out from the city centre (and up a hill) The area is less value for money because it is a posher area of the city. I believe some students may feel disconnected from the full student experience because of this. The security on the accomodation is typically less, however this was never seen as an issue and I have always felt more safe and free because of it. Amenities and leisure facilities were really good, although not sure if the accomodation is good value for money
