There are so many opportunities advertised to get involved with, and it's easy to get involved in the student community: peer mentoring, student ambassadors, and also interesting external opportunities for volunteering with course-related organisations. The university provides a range of support services that are very accessible and useful, like IT and employability. The facilities are great quality; I make the most use of the library as a commuting student. There is always a computer available and the Wi-Fi is great across campus. Everything is a short walk away, and all campus buildings are kept clean and organised. From my personal experience as a commuting student, the social/nightlife aspects are a struggle, and for my small course with limited contact hours, I found it difficult to befriend any of my classmates before settling in. Despite the students' union having a great presence on campus, and providing a variety of freshers events and events throughout the year, societies are very specific, often dormant or low-populated. So overall, the studying aspect of Coventry is fine, but I would only wish for more support for commuting students to prevent loneliness and ensure that every student is happy with the social side of their experience and not just the academic side.

I chose to study at Coventry because the course was well-organised and catered to my employability and career prospects. The department has fulfilled these promises, and the staff are very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. My only feedback for improvement would be to deliver lecture content live rather than through pre-recorded videos (from the pandemic). The live sessions just repeat what is said in the lectures rather than building of them.
