As a current student at Keele University, I can honestly say I absolutely love it here. The classes are engaging and well-structured, and the lecturers genuinely care about helping you succeed. The support available, whether academic, wellbeing, or career-related, is incredible and makes you feel like you’re never on your own. The facilities are modern, well-maintained, and always improving. From study spaces to labs to social areas, everything is designed to make your student life easier and more enjoyable. But what really sets Keele apart is its stunning environment. The campus is surrounded by nature, with beautiful lakes, woodlands, and open spaces that make it feel peaceful and inspiring. It’s the perfect place to study, relax, and truly enjoy university life. Keele isn’t just a university, it’s a community. And I couldn’t imagine studying anywhere else.

I recently completed a placement module at Keele University, and the experience was incredibly positive from start to finish. My module leader made the entire process smooth and manageable, offering guidance, encouragement, and clear communication throughout. It was obvious that they genuinely wanted every student to succeed. The Careers and Placement team at Keele also played a huge role in making my placement journey successful. They are truly dedicated to both the academic and personal development of students. Whether it was helping refine my CV, preparing me for interviews, or checking in to make sure I was settling in well, their support was consistent and sincere. Overall, the placement module not only helped me gain valuable real-world experience, but it also boosted my confidence and clarified my career goals. I’m really grateful for the care and commitment shown by the staff at Keele University, and I’d highly recommend their placement and career support to any student.

There is a real effort by the students union to make the student experience a good one, lots of free activities both by the su and university itself, however the financial issues caused by mismanagement post-covid are substantial which in turn result in high costs for students for things like hiring minivans to train off-campus etc. The university on the other hand seems to not care in the slightest for students or staff. Repeated, terrible deals with companies in change of the on campus accommodation have put the uni in terrible financial issues. They are working on layoffs and paying giant sums of money to consultants so they can be told to fire more staff. After decades of government austerity surely we have recognised that austerity does not work right? student experience is affected by the layoffs, it doesn't matter how much the uni deny it. Keele has a lot of excellent staff who really care and want the students to come out with so much more than just a sheet of paper but the biased upper management seem to love lining their own pockets. Overall, great uni, geography is a great course and student experience can be fantastic if you make it so but someone needs to do a whole revamp of management.

the lecturer quality is high and the course content is fairly diverse and interesting. Tutor quality is variable, mine for example doesnt really seem to have an interest in tutees, it seems like they believe the only reason to go to uni is for a piece of paper.

for £150 quid a week I recieved gulag style accomodation. at least my room was warm because im not gonna pay that much and ever have the heating off. the woods by my accomodation were nice to be fair. Student experience is what you make of it, having a greedy company in charge of halls does not help though.
