The University's main attraction for me was the campus, and I still love it to this day. Being surrounded by greenary and beautiful buildings is so much more calming than a busy main road, and I think it's a great area to study in. I love going on campus, especially when the weather's good - it's so important to have a calming background so you can focus on what really matters. However, I also love how outside of the campus walls is a busy city with all the shops I want, and an incredible nightlife. There's a reason Nottingham's voted highly for the clubs, as they're huge and in so much verity. With 1 in 10 people in Nottingham being students, you really feel at home going out, as everyone around you is in the same position. Going out clubbing is a large part of the 'student experience' and I'm glad I've got an amazing experience of it in this time of my life.The other thing that attracted me to Nottingham was the societies and how active they are. I found my main friendship group through my society and have done things that I never thought myself capable of doing. Societies are full of like-minded people so they're an amazing place to make friends for life.Finally, I love my course (Philosophy). I feel the lectures could be a bit better, but not every person likes every lecturer, so any uni is bound to have the same thing. I still love the ability to chose your own direction in the course, and if I'm not grasping or enjoying something enough to study it, I feel very supported in my studies by my tutors and lectures. I love the skills I've learned and the fact the course gives me time on the side to grow in other areas of life. I think I'll come out of Philosophy an incredibly rounded person with secure views, and the ability to really make my own decisions.

The campus is so beautiful and pretty. All my lectures and tutors seem to genuinely care about the students and want to help, the support is very good. Accommodations are pretty social and generally clean. Overall a lovely place.
