Swansea University is in an ideal location, within walking distance of both the city centre and the beach. They offer good student support, particularly for students on the Autistic spectrum. They could offer more help with assignments.

Swansea University teaches entirely face-to-face which is impressive and plausible after the pandemic. Lecturers are easy to contact if need be and provide good quality teaching.

Compared to other universities, Swansea's accommodation is relatively well-priced, but expensive in the grand scheme of things. The rooms are nothing special, but are clean, tidy and perfectly fine for living in. The halls feel safe and there is security available 24/7, as well as extra support and assistance from the residence teams.

While the university is not located in the most central area of the UK, one of its campuses is next to a huge, beautiful park (Singleton Campus) and the other campus is right by the beach (Bay Campus). Both professors and the administrative staff are exceptionally nice and helpful, and the quality of courses and teaching at the university is very high and definitely very competitive in the professional environment.

As it is a PhD, it is, mostly, a mix of remote and in-person tutorials with my supervisor. With regards to classes, university provides a vast array of online or e:Learning options. In my study programme, in-person classes are also organized, but those are in a form of Summer and Winter schools.
