One of the best aspects of my university experience at Edinburgh Napier University has been the supportive academic environment. The lecturers are approachable and genuinely interested in helping students understand complex topics, especially in scientific modules. I also appreciate the practical focus of the course, including laboratory sessions.

This structure provides a good balance between academic learning and independent study time. The face-to-face interaction with lecturers makes it easier to ask questions and engage in discussions, especially during practical and analytical sessions. The contact time feels meaningful and focused.

Edinburgh Napier University is a great place to study. It is a top pick university for me because it has top professors and knowledgeable lecturers handing the curriculum. The lectures are also very patient and approachable, and they take their time to ensure your queries are answered correctly when you have any. The University mobile application is quite user friendly and it is well maintained to prevent downtimes. The student e-learning platform, moodle is very user friendly and detailed, making it easy to use for first time students like me from a country where the educational system and school experience is quite different. The libraries are well designed and boast of a good range of books and access to computer systems for research. The libraries also have laptops that students can borrow for assignments and research purposes when needed. Napier University has some of the most well equipped laboratories I have seen and the staff follow standard procedures to ensure students safety while conducting experiments. The university common areas and convenience areas are also well maintained at all times, making for a great over all experience. While the general experience is great, the following could be improved; - The speed of student ID card production could be increased, to make the cards available for first time students who need this as a means of identification to purchase bus passes and cards at student friendly rates. - Access to the library entrance doors at late hours should not be restricted only to students with a physical ID card, as this possesses a problem for new students waiting to get their ID cards. - A cash payment option can be included for food and beverage purchases on campus. This would increase payment options available to students, especially new students navigating the e-payment system in Edinburgh.

The best aspect of my course so far is the teaching pattern here. The courses are taught in a blended or hybrid format, ensuring good student contact time with lecturers, and the access to lecture recordings and study materials on the student learning portal for subsequent student engagement. Assignments are also turned in online in a convenient way, and lecturers engage with students independently via the e-learning platform to provide detailed feedback for improvement. A downside to my course is how clustered the in -person taught courses can be. I believe that the courses can be arranged better to accommodate a break in-between long teaching sessions.
